Dressing up in 50's costumes for your sock hop event is a given. Not only do 50's costumes bring in the theme of the dance, 50's costumes also allow guests to have a fun time dressing up. Having a fun hairstyle to match your 50's costume can be very beneficial. Here are a few examples of hairstyles you can wear.

1. Classic Beehive: To get this look start by setting dry hair in large hair rollers. Roll sections of hair backwards. Once the rollers are out, pull the hair back in sections and tease. Get as much volume as possible and comb backwards, and use a clip or headband to hold it in place.

5. Bouffant: Use large roller curlers to create this fun hairstyle. Similar to a beehive, though no where near the height, you will need to tease your hair until it is the length you would like. Smooth the layer of hair down so the hair is rounded out or bouffant. Remember to use a lot of hairspray.
